Spread the Clean...

One thing that I can't stand is a dirty toilet. The cleanliness of the bathroom says a lot about a person, after all. I especially hate when the bottom of the toilet near the floor is dirty but, that's a post for another time. Anyway, the thing about germs and bacteria is, you can't see them! I know, you're bathroom is sparkling clean to the naked eye BUT, did you take the proper procedures to make sure it would pass the black light test? One way to help achieve a truly clean bathroom is to clean the cleaning tools you use. Seems obvious but you'd be surprised. Below is a simple way to clean your toilet brush and holder after each use.

TOILET BRUSH

  1. Fill a bucket with hot water.

  2. Add two-three capsules of bleach (see the bottle label for advice on this).

  3. Put your toilet brush in the bucket and leave for an hour.

  4. Take the brush out and rinse under hot water.

  5. Once the toilet brush is dry, place it back in the holder.

TOILET BRUSH HOLDER

  1. Using a disinfectant spray like Domestos Bleach Spray, spritz the inside and outside of the toilet brush holder. Alternatively, soak it in a bleach solution for an hour as in the method above. Just remember to always follow the safety instructions on the product you use.

  2. Leave to drain off above the toilet bowl for 10 minutes.

  3. Rinse all over with boiling hot water.

  4. Dry the toilet bowl with a cloth or tissue.

  5. Place the toilet brush back in the holder.

I think we can all "file paperwork" better knowing that our toilet is truly clean. Alright, hope this helped. Stay tuned for more truly clean cleaning tips.
